"I was hungry and you fed me, I way thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick andyou visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." -Matthew 25:35-36

First we thank the Lord for allowing us to help His people of Nicaragua. Second, we give thanks to all of you. Without you, nothing could be accomplished. It takes everyone working together to build up the body of Christ.

Nicaraguan People Need Your Help

Project HOPE was founded with a purpose to facilitate

  • Evangelistic Outreach, Pastor Training
  • Building Homes for the Needy/Poor People of Nicaragua
  • Provide Medical Assistance for Those Who Otherwise Would Not Have Care
  • Provide Education Through Schooling and Scholarships.

Because there are so many needs in Nicaragua, we have many ways you can help. Your donation helps us prepare for the future. No matter how you choose to help, you can feel great knowing that every tax-deductible dollar makes a difference.

Help make a brighter future. Help ensure that some of Nicaragua's most desperate receive help. Only God knows the future, but we can prepare for it.

Current Needs
Please prayerfully consider these needs

  • Support for our staff, fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. This is an ongoing expense. Many things are needed daily behind the scenes to see that the Lord's work is done.
  • Share-Your-Shoes Campaign. We are currently collecting shoes for this summer's "Shoe Store."
  • Pastor Training Programs

Gifting Etiquette

After several years of leading and facilitating teams, the Project Hope staff has found that some of the past gifting methods have caused difficulty within the communities. By giving money, jewelry, watches, bikes and other expensive items to individuals, we are causing members of the community to stumble. We have seen large individual gifts cause envy and dissention within the community, resulting in inappropriate requests being made of volunteers. Inappropriate gifts may cause wrong expectations.

We have come up with a list of suggested gifts that would serve the whole community rather than just a few individuals. Purchases such as latrines, water wells, livestock, fishnets, gardening products or other items that would serve that particular community are more appropriate and would best reflect our intentions for community development.

Gifts should be coordinated through Project HOPE team leaders. We often have two or three teams serving the same community over a period of time. Donated funds can be combined with other teams for larger purposes so that the entire community may benefit. Prayerfully consider your donations so they may fit within these guidelines.

Finally, please do not give out your phone number or address to members of the Nicaraguan communities in which you serve. All correspondence should be made through Project HOPE staff only.
